Job Responsibilities:
- Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining
a Windows filter driver at the compression altitude and adding the
necessary Windows components to make the Ocarina Windows solution
complete
Job duties include:
- Writing detailed design documents
- Participating in reviews of requirements, design, source code, and supporting documentation
- Developing Windows kernel mode driver and associated user mode components
- Diagnosing and debugging memory dump files and live systems
- Developing and conducting tests to ensure functionality and quality
Qualifications:
- Excellent, demonstrable C/C++ programming skills
- Thorough understanding of Windows SDK and DDK
- Thorough understanding of the Windows Architecture (Cache Manager, I/O Manager, Object Manager, etc)
- Excellent Windows kernel debugging skills
- Excellent understanding of inter-process communications and multi-threading
- Sound knowledge of Windows internals and Windows file system semantics and internals
- Familiarity with the Windows Installable File System (IFS) Kit
- Familiarity at the source/development level with Linux file systems
- Proven ability to read, analyze and understand large amounts of existing code with limited documentation
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly explain and document work
- Must be a team player and enjoy working on all aspects of product development including coding, debugging, test, packaging, install, and release
- MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related degree, or BS with at least 8 years of software development experience, minimum of 5 years working on Windows filter drivers
