The world is experiencing explosive growth of digital content and unstructured data. The accelerating growth of user generated content, graphics intensive applications, and increased compliance requirements, combined with the increasing sizes of most file types is straining storage infrastructures worldwide. As a result, organizations are struggling to contain rising storage acquisition costs as well as operational expenses such as power, cooling and datacenter space.

A new solution is needed to optimize online content and reduce digital footprint.

Job Summary:
Ocarina is looking for experienced programmers who have a passion for creating innovative solutions through great thoughts, great designs and great code. You will be part of a high performance team that is working on an industry-leading Storage Optimization appliance. Job Responsibilities:

Participate in various activities needed to enhance Ocarina’s Optimization appliance such as:
- Writing Perl scripts to automate test reporting
- Scope, design and implement robust components for Ocarina’s product offerings.
- Enhance test infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs found in the product during testing
Contribute ideas to make the group more efficient, effective and successful.

Qualifications:

Demonstrable expert with Perl scripting.
Demonstrable expert with C programming.
Experience with multiple operating systems (Linux, Unix, W2K-W2K3)
Preferred - Some storage experience. NAS, SAN, Clustering, Replication, RAID, Backup / Restore strategies.
Preferred - Some knowledge of L2, L3 Networking (Routing, VLANs).
Preferred - Experience in various dev/test/release capacities.
BS in CS, EE or related field, plus four or more years applicable experience. MS preferred.
