Job Summary:
Ocarina Networks is looking for an experienced embedded Linux developer to join a team developing Ocarina’s file-aware storage optimization appliance. This engineer will resolve Linux OS and kernel issues and customize the Linux kernel to match Ocarina’s specific needs. This senior engineer will also provide direction to other developers for kernel and OS configuration. Additionally, this engineer will make major contributions to the design and implementation the next generation of Ocarina’s product line.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Kernel and OS components of the Ocarina solution.
- Optimize kernel components in the Ocarina Appliance.
- Work with the customer support group as needed to resolve kernel and OS-related issues.
- Be a key member of the team designing and implementing the next generation Ocarina appliance platform.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience designing and implementing kernel components.
- Minimum 5 years working on embedded Linux projects.
- Strong kernel-level programming skills.
- Good working knowledge of operating system fundamentals, such as virtual memory, process scheduling, VFS, etc.
- Good Linux system administration skills.
- BS in CS, EE or related field, MS preferred.
