Job Summary:
The Ocarina Online Storage Optimization solution incorporates cutting-edge data reduction algorithms and techniques which significantly reduce the storage footprint. These algorithms are designed by thought leaders in the area of compression research. Be part of the team that translates the research into production ready software which is integrated into the Ocarina solution.
Job Responsibilities:
- Translate algorithms into production ready C code
- Do thorough testing of algorithms against real-world data sets
- Develop robust, high performance code
- Improving existing algorithm code through performance analysis and optimizations
- Modify key algorithms to take advantage of custom hardware
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable expert with C programming language
- Experience with Linux or Unix programming environments
- Ability to write test cases to provide maximum code coverage
- Experience writing software for different CODECs is a plus but not required
- BS in CS, EE or related field
- MS degree is a plus
- Four or more years applicable experience
