Job Description:

Ocarina is looking for an experienced system software engineer to work on Ocarina’s Storage Reduction Switches. You will be responsible for developing software to handle system installs, upgrades and other associated maintenance tasks. You will work in a fast paced environment with an experienced and highly technical team of Ocarina engineers to solve a wide variety of unique and fascinating problems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop infrastructure for facilitating system installation, upgrade, configuration management
• Enhance build framework to handle multiple product lines
• Own licensing framework to enable/disable features
• Own build performance improvement
• Develop, support and provide initial trouble shooting for internal and field issues

Required Skills

• RPM based package creation, management
• GNU Make, automake, build automation, subversion
• C/C++ programming knowledge
• Experience with SQLite, bash, perl is a plus
• Linux system administration experience – CentOS, RHEL
• Good knowledge of Linux application programming environment. Linux kernel knowledge is a plus.
• Demonstrated track record of being a key contributor on successful products
• Startup experience is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education Required

• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science from a reputable university
